Cecile is home! The blood count today showed 540 ANC blood cells so she's out of the danger zone. She hasn't had a high temperature since Wednesday night and the CRP levels are going down.
What a relief. You can imagine how pleased she is!
What happens next is a bit of a mystery. When she was admitted to hospital last Sunday she was at Day 43 of the current phase of chemo. In theory she still had another week's worth of chemo before taking a break (another week) prior to the last (and intense) phase. But apparently this missed week can be zapped at this stage of the protocol. Cécile has an appointment with her hemotologist at the Debré hospital on Tuesday so all will be made clear then. For the moment she's taking no medication and doesn't seem to have any problems apart from wondering what to do this weekend!
Cécile est rentrée! Ce matin elle avait 540 PNN donc elle n'est plus en aplasie. Elle n'a pas eu de fièvre depuis mercredi soir et le niveau du CRP est en train de baisser.
Quel soulagement. Vous pouvez imaginer sa joie!
La suite reste un peu flou ... Lorsqu'elle a été admise la semaine dernière elle était à Jour 43 de cette phase de son traitement. Théoriquement il lui restait une semaine de chimio et ensuite une semaine de repos avant le début de la dernière phase, plus intense. Apparemment cette semaine, à ce stade du protocole, ne sera pas forcément rattrapée. Cécile a rendez-vous mardi avec son médecin référent à Debré et nous attendons quelques explications. Pour l'instant Cécile ne prend aucun médicament, elle se porte bien et son seul souci est de savoir que faire ce week-end!
