J21 / Day 21: Myélogramme / Bone marrow examination

Aujourd'hui Cécile a eu son deuxième myélogramme (examen de la moelle osseuse) et nous avons eu les résultats ce soir. Cécile est chimio-sensible - ce qui veut dire qu'elle réagit bien à son traitement. Ceci est une bonne nouvelle car du coup le traitement sera allégé en nombre de médicaments et en fréquence de chimio.

Une autre bonne nouvelle: une des aides-soignantes a négocié pour Cécile; du coup, elle a droit à un repas salé par semaine! Le plat doit être surgelé donc Cécile aimerait une pizza chèvre miel noix pour son premier plat!

Day 21

Today Cecile had her second bone marrow examination which counts the number of blast cells. We had the results tonight and Cecile is chemo-sensitive which means she is reacting well to her treatment! This is great news because it means she will follow the lightweight protocol with fewer types of medicine and less frequent chemo sessions.

Another piece of good news - one of the auxiliary nurses negotiated with the doctors so that Cecile can have one meal containing salt per week! This means bringing in a prepared meal (preferably frozen) which can be heated in a microwave or oven - Cecile has chosen for her first meal a goat's cheese, honey and walnut pizza!
