Hide and seek with Hopper / Cache-cache avec Hopper

This week has been rather tough for Cécile. We arrived at the Debré hospital first thing Monday morning and Cécile then had a lot of waiting - for the results of the blood test, then getting her urine to the correct pH before chemo could start, a bone marrow exam ... The chemo started late afternoon. The next day she had a lumbar puncture. She has to be mildly sedated before both these exams and then obviously feels rather sleepy afterwards. The chemo lasted 24 hours and then Cécile had to wait until most of the product had been eliminated from her body - tests were done every 24 hours. She was finally given the all-clear around 7pm on Thursday evening. Not a fun week. To make matters worse, all her chums were back at school while she was lying on a bed in hospital.
Cécile's best friend has been round to fill Cécile in on what's going on at school. She has her text books and must now try to follow the syllabus. Square roots on the programme in maths!
We've managed another picnic in Fontainebleau today - making the most of the good weather while it lasts!

Une semaine un peu difficile pour Cécile. Nous sommes arrivées à Debré vers 9 heures lundi matin et ensuite il y avait beaucoup d'attente: d'abord pour les résultats de la prise de sang et ensuite pour que le pH des urines soit au bon niveau pour démarrer la chimio ... Ensuite un myélogramme, et le lendemain une ponction lombaire - ces deux examens nécessitent de la morphine et du coup après Cécile est plutôt groggy.
La chimio a démarré en fin d'après-midi lundi pour se terminer 24 heures plus tard. Ensuite il fallait faire des tests toutes les 24 heures pour vérifier que le produit s'éliminait comme il fallait. Cécile a eu le droit de sortir vers 19 heures jeudi. Pas très drôle comme semaine, surtout quand elle sait que ses copines ont retrouvé les bancs de l'école cette semaine.
Sa meilleure amie est passée après les cours vendredi pour raconter tous les ragots et accessoirement parler des cours ... Cécile a ses manuels scolaires et maintenant il n'y a plus qu'à ... en commençant par quelques exercices sur les racines carrées ...
Nous profitons du beau temps pendant que ça dure et sommes retournés piqueniquer à Fontainebleau - les chiens étaient ravis!
